Men's Basketball Recruiting Thread

In this thread we’ll be discussing and answering questions onNC State 's 2026 Basketball Recruiting. Follow along for updates, videos and inside info.

5-Star 2026 Forward/Guard JJ Andrews (6’7″/220) took an Official Visit to NC State this weekend.

Andrews took an Official Visit to Missouri last week, and he has one scheduled with Arkansas in the middle of October, one with LSU the second week of November and one with Marquette beginning on January 31st of next year.

NC State offered Andrews back on June 15th.

ESPN ranks Andrews as the #15 overall player nationally in the 2026 recruiting class, the #4 Small Forward and the #1 player in the state of Arkansas.

Andrews plays for Little Rock Christian Academy.

4-Star 2025 Power Forward Zymicah Wilkins (6’8″/240) just verbally committed to NC State, wrapping up his Official Visit in Raleigh.

ESPN ranks Wilkins as the #54 overall player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, the #7 Power Forward and the #2 player in the state of North Carolina.

This past season, Wilkins averaged 13.4 points and 7.3 rebounds for Christ School (Arden, NC).

Back in August, Wilkins included NC State in his Top-7, which also included Georgetown, Georgia, Dayton, Villanova, South Carolina and Clemson.

Wilkins took an Official Visit to Georgetown earlier in the month, and then cancelled the rest of his Official Visits besides the one to NC State. It became clear that this was a 2-team race, and it looks like the Wolfpack won that race today.

NC State’s 2025 recruiting class now is made up of two players, with Wilkins joining 4-Star Shooting Guard RJ Greer.

We also had a commit from 4-star SG RJ Greer earlier in the year (prior to the forum being up). I figured we should list there here.

We know. Thanks for adding so much value to this thread!

Testing this out again.

Can’t figure out if Zymicah a MBB recruit or WBB?

Wilkins and Greer both signed.

Keatts isn’t putting all of his eggs in the NIL basket, which is great. You can already see how Trey Parker is panning out this year and I’m sure McNeil will play a bigger role eventually.

Wilkins will be able to step in and compete for starter minutes on day 1, but I’m guessing Keatts will look for a veteran big from the portal so Wilkins can get acclimated to college basketball.

As for Greer, he’s a great shooter and that’s something this years team is missing.

Great additions that fit perfectly IMO.
