NCSU Baseball: No. 17 Pack Hosts CSU Bakersfield This Weekend, Senior Day Sunday

RALEIGH, N.C. - No. 17 NC State hosts CSU Bakersfield in the final home weekend series of the regular season, beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m. and concluding with Senior Day on Sunday, May 6 at 1 p.m.

The Pack (30-12, 16-8 ACC) will hit the diamond for game two on Saturday at 6:30 p.m., before wrapping up the series Sunday. Prior to Sunday's game, seniors Andrew Ciencin, John Gianis, Gary Gillheeney, Ryan Mathews, and Vance Williams will be recognized for their contributions to Wolfpack athletics.

Reigning ACC Pitcher of the Week Anthony Tzamtzis (5-3, 2.51 ERA) toes the rubber on Friday against right-hander Scott Brattvet (4-4, 3.96).

Bakersfield (19-20) will throw right-hander Spenser Messmore (3-3, 1.78) on Saturday and left-hander Jeff McKenzie (4-4, 2.03) on Sunday.

The NC State coaching staff is still in the process of determining who will pitch Saturday, Sunday, and in next Tuesday's game, but said Carlos Rodon (8-0, 1.42), Ethan Ogburn (3-2, 2.95), and Logan Jernigan (4-1, 5.26) will each start one of those games.

Radio coverage for all three games this weekend will be provided by 88.1 WKNC, fans can follow Twitter updates from @NCStateBaseball, and live stats will be available on GoPack.com.

State wins game 1 of doubleheader 2-0. Ethan Ogburn went 7 strong and Ryan Mathews had the only 2 RBIs.

We came from behind to sweep Cal-Bakersfield to go to 33-12. Congrats to Ciencin for some timely hits. Now for a strong finish at VT and FSU.

    GO PACK !!
