You know what we really need? We really need a thread devoted to Amile Jefferson. I don't think the 1st 5 or 6 of them really did the young man justice. Who's gonna start one?

As much as I would like to have Amile sign with us, I won't consider it the end of the world if he doesn't. I really believe Tyler Harris is capable of stepping up and filling the void. It sounds like he's bulked up a bit, and I liked what I saw from his game last year. He's a very agressive player on both ends, and has a nice shooting stroke. He's a good defender also.

IINM, Calvin committed on May 4th. Amile could take just as long.

what in the world are you talking about? i was just picking on you, but, seriously, i don't even know how to decipher this.

I'm kinda wondering the same thing. Newclass, you post a ton of great insights from various recruiting sites, but you are constantly struggling to translate your own thoughts into actual English (spelling, grammar, etc.). What's the deal? Haha

As newsclass has stated with pride many times, he's too lazy to worry about spelling or grammar. Not exacty a shining example of a graduate (or student) from NC State University. I'm just going to put the guy on ignore going forward. I'm too lazy to try and decipher what he's saying.

an i don care waht hesay bout me.

Actually, CJ committed on April 28. If he waits until the day before the NBA draft to declare his intentions, he will also re-commit on April 28.

newclass, EVERY thread will most likely get "off topic" somewhere along the way.

Prime example... right now... and this thread.

Starting a new thread(s) doesn't help that one bit. Plus, and I wasn't going to say this, but since you're so determined, on the last two pages of the original "2013 recruiting" thread, the one that you described as "messy", you, newclass, had posted over 50% of the commentary on the final two pages of that thread... right before you felt the need to start another "2013 recruiting" thread. ???

    So... ???

    To get back ON topic....

My thinking is certainly now that Amile is waiting on CJ Leslie. I don't see any other reasons not to be. I also think he's more likely to come if Leslie STAYS!!! Yep, I'm one that thinks he sees an opportunity to maybe get a year under his belt AND win a national championship. Next years team will certainly be in the mix I think. So let's see where the dominoes fall after Calvin announces he's coming back.

Guys, let up on newclass. He may annoy you, but usually its not purposeful or someone is instigating the whole thing.

The grammar arguments get old to me. This isn't English class, nor is it a high falutin' social gathering. Each of us makes grammatical errors on here and in our everyday conversations. How bout we let it go.

On another note. Amile continues to play this thing very close to the vest. I wonder if there have even been any statements by him that give us a clue. I don't think he has. Seems like we won't know anything till we know everything...

newclass, you are in the know, you find some good stuff on the web, and I may have teased you once about spelling, but I have no room to to talk there. That was all in good fun, and I certainly hope that it was taken that way. I hope??? I was only speaking about adding new threads, and nothing else.

Hey seems like I got my wish. A thread to talk about thread etiquette. Cool, but what's with the funny name? Did Amile write a book about threads?

It either makes him want to come here to join the winning fun, or not want to come here because of less PT next season, or it doesn't impact his decision at all. I'd guess the first.

Would love to see Amile join the Pack, but I feel so much better about our situation now that CJ made his decision. Any addition of new talent would only add icing to the cake but I am estatic with our returning players and incoming freshmen.

Does CJL's return positively or negatively impact our chances at getting AJ? Anybody heard anything on that?

Jefferson could get a solid 15-20 minutes a game off the bench as a freshman, then start as a sophmore. All the while, competing for ACC championships and making deep runs in the NCAA's. Not sure he can ask for much more than that.

Jefferson WILL get a solid 20 minutes a game as a freshman AT LEAST. A starting spot is not out of the question. No one, except maybe CJ , is guaranteed anything.

I'll say again...I'll bet he was waiting to see what Calvin was going to do, and this will make him pick State. It just makes a perfect fit for a 4 star recruit that most likely will need at LEAST 2 years to possibly develop into NBA level talent.

While all our players compete for starting spots, I guess a starting spot for AJ is not out of the question. However, just think about it. He plays the same position as CJL so he's not starting over him unless CJ does something stupid and we saw that end early last season. The only other two front-court spots are occupied by seniors Wood and Howell. AJ starting is extremely unlikely.

just a thought here. i don't buy aj waiting to see what cjl was going to do, in either direction. the reason i don't buy it is that i don't buy aj just finding out today like the rest of us. calvin said he'd been leaning in the direction of staying during most of the process and he didn't(he says) even read the feedback letter. so the staff had to know which way he was leaning and i would think aj did, too. i'm thinking it is something else. maybe duke, maybe kentucky, i don't know. i just don't think cjl had any bearing at all. imho.
