ok. time to change the title of this thread to "AMILE JEFFERSON",
because all along this is the guy we truly needed to pick up, not Andrew Young ( i' m not saying he wouldnt have helped though)
I wish young the best in his D1 career, but like I said, after that rivals article I wasn't expecting much. Hopefully Amile sees the opportunity he has. Go pack.
cheers,

"Be a dreamer. If you don't know how to dream, you're dead." - Jim Valvano
“How do you go from where you are to where you want to be? I think you have to have an enthusiasm for life. You have to have a dream, a goal, and you have to be willing to work for it.”
Wish Andrew Young the best at A&M. Hope he has career days against UK.
But staff can ask current players that he just played pick-up with for their thoughts.
Anyway, I find it hard to believe that they would back off him based on that, if our staff did indeed cool on him. They scouted and watched Young for a while and probably had a good idea how he would fit in and how long it would take to develop him. If what PI said is true, I'm inclined to believe good news is coming on Leslie and Jefferson.
It seems to me that when PI says we "cooled on him" its not something that happened over the weekend. Kinda get the feeling it happened over the last couple of weeks and that Young ( and State) wanted to see the visit through just in case. It just doesn't seem like something that happens overnight.
Why are we "cooling off" on quality big man? Really hope our staff has a plan here. I really like Young's game.
Then again, I would choose an improved Harris + TDT than Young.
I think "the plan" is to not bring in players they are not certain about or who they feel may not be ready to contribute. For me, without seeing him play against quality D1 competition it is very hard to determine how good his game really is. It also seems that other elite programs had limited interest in him.
