now people can quit worrying/complaining about no commits this time of the recruiting year.
Welcome to our Wolfpack Cole!
OK, all clear. We've picked up a commit from Davie County HS (Mocksville, NC) OL Cole Blankenship 6-3/275, who also had an offer from West Virginia. Welcome aboard Cole!

Go seapack89 !! Go Cole Blankenship !!
Howler
Saw a picture of him on Scout...he looks the part.
Here's a free article on rivals.com about Blankenship:

Here's another article about Blankenship: http://www2.journalnow.com/sports/20...ip-ar-1748932/
Blankenship was AP All-State NC for 2011.
Target 4* LB EJ Levenberry from VA commits to Florida State today and is now off of our board.
Blankenship reportedly received an offer from us last weekend during the Spring Game festivities and accepted the offer today.
Here's a video that was posted on packpride.com of Blankenship dead-lifting 525 lbs:

Welcome to the Pack Cole! Thanks for the updates packman but I have one request...Couldnt you have waited to break the Levenberry news at least for a couple hours. I was all smiles and then I had to read that update.
I'm kidding but I have played and coached many AAU basketball tournaments at Davie County HS and their weight training program is comparable to many colleges. They have a whole hallway full of trophies from lifting competitions. Basically what I am trying to say is this boy is obviously already a MAN and will be fully prepared for college on the strength side of things.
and thanks to seapack too
Not sayin'... just sayin'...

Usually when I get recruiting updates, I get them all at one time. I realize that with the news of Blankenship's commit the last thing we wanted to hear was about us whiffing on another 4* recruit, but I get emails with recruiting targets and their decisions usually all together because we are "Targeting" them in a database, and it just so happened that was the way that I got the info.
Anyway, now that we have it rolling, look for us to pick up another commitment or two before summer camps start. Last year, we picked up two commits before summer camp, but those two were both in January 2011, whereas our first one this year was in April. This means that we are being more selective with our scholarships due to numbers, but also that there are a whole lot of kids that are interested in us that are all fighting for scholarships.
As Coach O'Brien said a few weeks ago, this year they had many more prospects attend Spring practices than ever before, which is a very good sign for our program as it is "turning the corner."
By my count, we have 15 seniors this year. Amerson is likely early entrant to the NFL draft. So would you say we're looking to take 15-18 kids in this class?
And so without further ado, here's the way to early 2013 recruit board. For ease, the rank is the highest between Scout and Rivals. If I've missed any commits anywhere please advise, thanks.

As much space as this stuff takes up, I'll let you guys decide how to address updates to the board. Do you prefer that I just update the boards on pgs 18 and 19 to save bandwidth, or do you prefer periodic updates (say every 2 months till things heat up and then monthly) where I repost the entire boards with rankings and commit updates as well as post updates for new recruits?
I would prefer to start a new thread for the "2013 Football Recruiting Board" and keep the board of the first two pages. We could keep the "2013 Football Recruiting" thread for folks to comment on rumors, etc. It will be hard for me to remember to look on pages 18 & 19 of a long thread. Or just close this thread and start a new thread with the board on the first two pages.
I'd say whatever is easiest for you, Seapack. I just appreciate the info however it is delivered.
Sorry, but I don't quite understand the issue that people seem to have with keeping one thread, on one topic? I do not have any problem clicking on the small blue "last comment" box, backtracking until I see something that I've already read, and then picking up from there on.
As far as bandwidth and all of that, I'm pretty clueless there, but I guess that would be totally up to PI to decide.
Either way, you are doing a fine job of it Seapack!!! I Thank You Sir!!!
Oh yeah, and BTW Dof, been meaning to say, but I like Tomato(e) Wolf!!!
I don't think bandwidth is an issue, as I believe only 1 page is loaded at a time, and since it's just words you are posting, it's not very big then.
Target 4* LB Matt Rolin from Ashburn HS in VA narrows down his list to 5 schools. We did not make the cut.
A couple more new offers to report:
RB Dakwa Nichols - 5'10", 185, timed at 4.41 at our camp last year, Attends Richmond County HS (NC)
DB/ATH Korrin Wiggins - 6'1", 185, 4.8 40 yd, Attends Durham Hillside HS (NC) - 3* on rivals, currently committed to UNC. (I would hope that his reported 40 yd. time is very wrong if he is a DB).
ATH Kyle Queiro - 6'3", 185, 4.5 40 yd., Attends Bergen Catholic HS (NJ) - 3* on rivals, we were the first to offer him.

A couple of newspaper stories about Nichols:
http://www.yourdailyjournal.com/view...-past-Bearcats
http://yourdailyjournal.com/view/ful...ong-after-rout
Also, some rumors are floating around the Internet that WR Jalen McDaniel might pull the trigger for us very soon.
He was rumored to have committed last year when LB MJ Salahuddin committed, but that rumor turned out to be premature.
A little reminder about McDaniel:
6'2", 188, 4.6 40 yd., 3* on rivals, NR on scout.
Magichat, we usually recruit several players a year from that area, unfortunately Clemson does very well in that region.
